Foreign applicants can also study at TSU using distance learning technologies. To do this, you need to apply for training through the "Rosdistant" platform, which allows you to get higher education remotely. Currently, more than 16 thousand TSU students from 24 countries of the world and from all regions of Russia are studying at "Rosdistant"
All documents in a foreign language must be translated into Russian, unless otherwise provided by an international treaty of the Russian Federation.
Foreign citizens entering TSU and having education documents issued outside the territory of the Russian Federation must undergo the education documents recognition procedure.
Those who have received education in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Slovenia, Tajikistan and Croatia do not need to undergo the procedure of their education document recognition procedure.
Foreign students from countries with a visa entry need to get a study visa for full-time study in Russia. It is issued by the Russian Embassy/Consulate only if there is an invitation from the university. The invitation is issued only after signing the order on enrollment in TSU.
The deadline for issuing an invitation is 3 weeks. An electronic invitation is sent to the address of the Embassy / Consulate of the Russian Federation in the country of a foreign citizen permanent residence. By this invitation, you can apply for a single-entry study visa for a period of 3 months.
A foreign student after crossing the border of the Russian Federation is obliged to get registered for migration at the place of temporary stay in accordance with the procedure established by Federal Law No. 109-FZ of 18.07.2006 "On migration registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation". Migration registration is carried out within 7 days after a foreign citizen's arrival in the Russian Federation.

The Department of Security and Regime carries out registration at the place of stay only for foreign citizens studying at TSU on full-time/part-time basis and living in student hostels of the university. Foreign students who do not live in the TSU hostel, get registered for migration on their own.
