Extracurricular Activities: Plenty of Opportunities at TSU
Studying is only part of students’ life at Togliatti State University. Outside the lecture halls, there is the other life with concerts and artistic gatherings, sports tournaments, volunteer events and creative projects. During these moments, our students discover their talents, make friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime because extracurricular activities at TSU is a new opportunity to prove yourself every day.
Student Associations and Creativity
TSU has many student organizations to suit every taste. Do you love music or dream of going on stage? Join vocal studios or theatre groups – this is where aspiring singers, musicians and actors get their first creative practice. For those who cannot imagine themselves without dancing, the doors are open to several groups at once: from modern hip-hop to ballet choreography. And if your heart is into the exotic, there is the Historical Fencing School “Canto Spada” and the ART-Fencing Sports Club, whose participants turn into brave medieval knights on weekends.
A special place in the cultural life of our university is taken by the annual “Student Spring” – a festival of creativity where students from all institutes demonstrate their talents in all genres: music, dance, theater and original performances. The best artists perform at the gala concert, leaving the audience in awe.
Sports: From Games to Victories
TSU's sports life is no less diverse. The university is proud of its sports and fitness complex, where students have access to a swimming pool, the gyms and fields for team sports. All newcomers will find something they like – football, volleyball, basketball, swimming and much more. In the meantime, experienced trainers help beginners quickly get used to their chosen sport.
Volunteering: Kindness Every Day
TSU is proud of its volunteers. The Center for Volunteering unites students who are ready to make the world a better place. There are many ways to do your part for greater good, and everyone finds something close to their heart. Some visit orphans and support the senior citizens, while others help organize impressive events. Many people take part in environmental ecology campaigns, from planting trees to helping animal shelters. Others donate blood and promote it among the population. It is often TSU students who are the first to respond when help is needed.
TSU Student Trade Union Committee
Extracurricular activities are not only entertainment but also an opportunity for professional growth. TSU has a students’ trade union committee – it protects the rights of students and helps in difficult situations, and at the same time makes life more fun. The trade union committee organizes student parties, quests, intellectual games and provides union members with various bonuses: discounts on entertainment, swimming pool passes, etc. By participating in the work of the trade union committee, students gain valuable organizational skills.

Several years at TSU will fly by unnoticed if you spend them actively. By going beyond the classroom, a student discovers a whole world of possibilities. Today you are dancing on the festival stage, tomorrow you are defending the honor of the faculty on the sports field, and soon you will be organizing a charity project. Extracurricular activities at TSU give you the freedom to try new things with the support of friends and a chance to live your student years to the fullest so that later you can remember them with a smile and say: “Yes, I had the time of my life!”
