TSU’s International Contacts and Cooperation

Togliatti State University has always placed special emphasis on the process of internationalization. Establishing of national and international links has become one of its main objectives.

TSU is implementing the main principles of Bologna Process: introduction of the three-cycle system, education based on competences and learning outcomes, development of student and teacher mobility. Cooperation with European partners makes a major impact on adopting Bologna principles.

Togliatti State University has cooperation agreements with universities and institutions across the world in the areas of research, education collaboration and student mobility. It currently cooperates with a number of universities and institutions in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK, Poland, China, and the USA. A major emphasis is made on developing joint courses and programs:
• Joint minor International Business and Finance, jointly developed and taught in English by TSU and INHOLLAND University since 2007
• International Summer School “Built Environment: structure, protection, security”, jointly developed and taught in English by TSU and Second University of Naples in 2010.
• Joint program in automotive engineering in cooperation with Glyndwr University, the UK
• Joint on-line program Doing Business in Russia in cooperation with North-West Community College of Arkansas, the USA

Each year we invite distinguished professors to Togliatti to conduct lectures and seminars for our students. The university holds a number of international conferences each year and has joint academic, research and consultancy projects with universities across Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Asia.
International Programs Department provides leadership, service and support for the international activities of the students, faculty and staff. The department encourages, promotes and seeks opportunities for members of the TSU community to effectively pursue their international interests and gives the opportunities to enhance their international and intercultural competences by networking with international academic, government and non-government agencies around the world.
International students from 8 countries study at TSU. Most students come from the Commonwealth of Independent States but English speaking students are welcome to participate in our International Summer Schools. TSU International Programs Department ensures that overseas students coming to study in Togliatti receive a warm welcome.

TSU offers two international summer schools:

International Art and Design Summer School is a unique chance to spend 4 weeks in Russia travelling for 2 weeks around the country’s most famous cities: Kazan, Nizhy Novgorod, Mstrera, Bogolubovo, Vladimir, Suzdal, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Rostov the Great, Boriso Glebsk, and Moscow. You will visit distinguished museums, cathedrals, jewelry plants, and painting studios and get to know Russian culture, art and design traditions. During the following 2 weeks the students will work at Sharonovs’ Jewelry Design Studio at TSU designing a piece of jewelry.

International Summer School “Doing Business in Russia” is focused on current economic situation in Russia and is aimed at international students interested in Business Studies. The school program involves visiting local enterprises, companies, banks and diverse cultural activities.
