03.02.2012 On 30 January 2012 the Special Event of the Institute of Chemistry and Engineering Ecology was held at TSU. Students, academics, staff, business partners, and friends came to congratulate the Institute and its Director – Andrey Vasiliev with its fourth Birthday. The special guest of the event was Gianguido Breddo - Honorary Consul of Italy in Samara region and Republic of Tatarstan who in his speech emphasized the impact of the institute and its role in the development of relations between Russia and Italia. 20.01.2012 From October till December 2011 joint pilot “International Communications” online course between TSU and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) was carried out. The course was created specially for TSU by Doctor Susan Holmes, PhD in Philosophy, a consultant on interpersonal relationships. 18.12.2011 On the 14th of December the second meeting of «FrontLine Club Tlt» Student Discussion Club was held. The project was realized with the assistance of “FrontLine in Russia” Center for Extreme Journalism under the patronage of TSU primary journalist organization of Samara Branch of Union of Journalists of Russia. The aim of the meeting was the presentation of John Alpert’s movie “How Two Siberian Girls Became Americans” 02.12.2011 Mikhail Krishtal, Rector of Togliatti State University and Andrey Vasiliev, Director of TSU Institute of Chemistry and Engineering Ecology took participation in Forum of Rectors of Leading Russian and Italian Universities held on 24-27 November in Rome, Italy. 05.10.2011 Two graduates of TSU Department of Design Aleksandra Sherbina and Nadegda Frolova have spent almost a year in Germany doing Bauhaus training program together with architectures from France, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, India and China. 29.09.2011 On the 20th of September of 2011 a delegation from University of Nicosia , Cyprus- Pavlos Pavlou, Vice-President of the University of Nicosia and Andrei Korneev, Director of KNK Universe Cyprus Pro Company- visited Togliatti State University. 29.09.2011 From 19 till 20 September 2011 Togliatti State University was visited by a delegation form University of Applied Sciences INHOLLAND, the Netherlands.
In order to discuss TSU participation in Erasmus Local Decision Making Intensive Programme (IP) that will be initiated in 2011-2012 Mr. Marijn Roest, “Public Administration and Integral Security Studies” Course Manager and Mr. Tjerk Busstra INHOLLAND International Projects Coordinator came to TSU. 08.09.2011 From 11 till 31 July 2011 as a result of an expedition of TSU team to the Region of Central Tien Shan (Terskey Ala-Too mountain range) the top of 4 321 m. has been won. An memorial dedicated to TSU’s 60-year anniversary was set up on the top. Since then the top is officially called “Togliatti State University’s Peak”.
