The Faculty of Electrical Engineering was established in 1967. There were three departments in its structure: “Theory of Electrical Engineering”, “Power Supply of Industrial Units and Cities”, and “Electric Machines”.
Nowadays the Faculty is the biggest one in Togliatti State University, enrolling 350 – 400 students annually. The total number of undergraduate and graduate students is 1500. The Faculty also offers postgraduate training. More than 70 faculty members facilitate the academic process.

The Faculty comprises four departments

  •  Department of Power Supply and Electrical Engineering
  •  Department of Industrial Electronics
  •  Department of Industrial Motor-Equipment and Mechanics
  •  Department of Electrophysics

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering is a leading provider of engineering talent to regional Samara enterprises. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in such modern fields of engineering as Industrial Electronics, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics and Microelectronics, Electrical Equipment and Electrical Industry, Electrical Mechanics, and Electrical Technology. The programs are focused on electrical engineering principles along with the required supporting knowledge of mathematics, science, computing, and engineering fundamentals.

Modern approaches to engineering education, including application of AutoCAD, MathCAD, Electronic Work Bench, and MatLAB systems, are employed in training. The emphasis is on the technologies of today and tomorrow mirroring the vibrant industrial scene found in the Volga River region. A high level of faculty proficiency makes it possible to carry out research with particular practical outcomes. The faculty’s Center of Energy Auditing provides services to local and regional enterprises.
The educational program in Energy Supply is accredited by the Russian Association for Engineering Education, the member of ENAEE. The EUR-ACE
quality label confirms the engineering program compliance with international standards.
