Board of Trustees of Togliatti State University was established in December 2002. It consists of 17 most respected people of the city, and top managers of big companies. The Chairman of the Board is an honorary citizen of Togliatti, ex-president and CEO of JSC "AVTOVAZ" Alexey Nikolaev. The Vice Chairman is the Mayor of Togliatti, member of Russian Academy of Natural Science, Dr. Nikolay Utkin.

The Board of Trustees facilitates Togliatti State University in implementing academic and scientific programs, in quality assurance management regarding national and international standards. It also renders assistance in the University's projects development and contributes to securing its competitiveness in domestic and international educational market..
