The Faculty of Fine, Decorative and Applied Arts was established in 1989. Among the faculty there are members of the Russian Unions of Painters and Designers and leading experts in jewelry and design.
The faculty offers a wide range of courses in Art Education, Art History, and Studio Art (ceramics, collage, drawing, electronic art, jewelry, painting, photography, and sculpture). These courses serve to engage students in the study of fine arts within a liberal arts context and to promote appreciation of the fine arts in the general student population. The faculty offers 4 painting workshops, 4 drawing and graphics workshops, 3 metalsmithing workshops, and 1 stone processing workshop. The Faculty offers three degree programs, one of which provides training for those pursuing a teaching career. Since 2010 a new specialty “Painting” is open.

The faculty collaborates with children artistic schools of Togliatti and arranges art contests for teenagers and students. The sub-faculty of crafts organized a costume theater that is well-known in Togliatti.

The faculty is visited by representatives of foreign universities, such as Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), Huaihai Institute of Technology (China) and American delegations.

A special unit of the Faculty is The Sharonovs’ School of Jewelry Design, one of the leading jewelry schools in Russia recognized internationally. Training is provided by highly qualified and talented faculty members, among whom there are members of the International Designer’s Union and Creative Artist’s Union of Russia. While creating jewelry pieces students use unexpected combinations of brass, copper, German silver, aluminum, selicon, plastic, glass, natural stone, bones, acrylic, vinyl, rubber, fur, and other materials.

The Faculty premises are equipped with special painting, drawing and graphics workshops and metalsmithing and stone processing workshops.
